How to Access Properties

You can view and edit properties for any part of your Smartform—sections, rows, columns, or elements—using several methods.
The Properties panel is located in the right-hand menu of Studio and updates dynamically based on what you select.

1. Element Properties

  • Click Method: Click directly on an element in the canvas to open its properties in the Properties tab.
  • Right-Click Method: Right-click an element and select Properties from the context menu.
  • Switching Between Row/Column: In the Properties menu, you can choose to view the properties for:
    • Element
    • Column
    • Row
  • Quick Toggle: Double-click an element to quickly toggle between its Row and Column properties.

2. Row or Column Properties

You can access Row or Column properties in two ways:

  1. Via the Properties Menu: Select the element inside the row or column you want to edit, then change the selection in the Properties panel.
  2. Double-Click Shortcut: Double-click an element inside the desired row or column to toggle between row and column properties.

3. Section Properties

  • Hover Method: Hover over the section you want to edit and click the three-dotted button () on the right-hand side.
  • This is the only way to open section properties.

💡 Tip:

  • Use double-click to quickly switch between row and column properties.
  • Use the three-dotted button to manage section-level settings.
