Groups

The Groups page allows you to organize your text elements into logical categories.
Groups make it easier to manage, search, and find relevant text elements when working in the Text Library and the Editor.

Group is required when creating text element.


Purpose of Groups

Groups are used to:

  • Categorize text elements into meaningful collections
  • Improve navigation and searchability in the Text Library
  • Help editors locate the correct text blocks quickly
  • Keep your library structured as it grows

Examples of useful groups include:

  • Headers
  • Footers
  • Legal Texts
  • Templates
  • Descriptions
  • System Sections

Groups Page Overview

Use the search field to locate groups by name or description.

Group List

Each group is displayed as a card showing:

  • Group name
  • Description (optional)
  • Number of text elements in the group
  • Created/updated timestamps

Each card also includes actions:

  • Edit – Update the group’s name or description
  • Delete – Remove the group (does not delete text elements inside it)

View Modes

You can switch between:

  • Grid View
  • List View

Choose the layout that fits your preference.

Creating a New Group

To create a new group:

  1. Click + New Group
  2. A dialog window appears (as shown in the screenshot)
  3. Enter a Group Name (required)
  4. Add an optional Description
  5. Click Create Group

Description (Optional)

Helpful when teams collaborate or when groups have similar names.
Use the description to explain the purpose of the group.


Editing a Group

  1. Click the Edit icon on a group card
  2. Update the name or description
  3. Save changes

Editing a group does not affect any text elements already assigned to the group.


Deleting a Group

  1. Click the Delete icon on the group
  2. Confirm deletion in the dialog window

Deleting a group:

  • Does not delete any text elements
  • Removes the grouping, leaving affected elements uncategorized

Use this carefully to maintain structure in your library.


Assigning Text Elements to Groups

Groups are selected directly from the Create Text Element page.
A text element can belong to one group at a time.

To assign or change a group:

  • Open a text element
  • Select a group in the Group dropdown
  • Save the element

Best Practices for Groups

  • Keep group names short and descriptive
  • Use consistent naming conventions
  • Avoid too many small groups—keep it structured but simple
  • Use descriptions to clarify the purpose for other users
  • Periodically review and clean up unused groups
